Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shengo Amodu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shengo Amodu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt dives in and grabs Amodu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Amodu pushes down on Hunt's head and hops out.
Amodu moves into the clinch.
Amodu wants to break free but Hunt has control.
Hunt breaks the clinch.
Hunt throws a head kick that half lands.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Amodu.
Amodu throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Amodu decides to stand back up.
Amodu has a takedown stuffed.
Hunt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Amodu tries to clinch there but Hunt circles away.

Hunt cracks the inside of Amodu's front leg.
Hunt tries to clinch but Amodu is having none of it.
Amodu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hunt as he avoids it easily.

Hunt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Amodu is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hunt has his foot on Amodu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amodu works his way back into a safe position though.
Amodu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hunt is looking to stand up but Amodu isn't so interested in that idea.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Amodu shoots in and bounces Hunt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hunt seems a little lost for a moment, as Amodu dominates the positioning.

Hunt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Amodu off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Hunt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Amodu.
Amodu moves out of range of the body kick from Hunt.
Hunt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hunt wants it to stay on the feet.
Hunt misses with a head kick.
Amodu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hunt counters with a nice kick to the body.

Hunt tries to bum rush Amodu with a series of wild strikes but Amodu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hunt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Amodu counters with a shoot takedown. Hunt fights it but they end up in guard.

Amodu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Amodu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

and Amodu counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hunt won't be happy with that.

Amodu cracks Hunt with a big elbow.
Hunt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Amodu asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Hunt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Amodu looks up at the clock and then as Hunt takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Amodu smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Shengo Amodu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Amodu is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hunt will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Amodu seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hunt for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shengo Amodu.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Amodu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
