Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryuzaki Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Shetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimura has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryuzaki Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Shetz!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shetz closes the distance and clinches.

Shetz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kimura swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kimura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Shetz has picked Kimura up - he's going for a ride! Shetz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kimura is staying active underneath Shetz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shetz perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kimura is not content to let Shetz control the position.

John Shetz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shetz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
