The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Tihata.
Tihata misses with a head kick.
Tihata waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Geist.
Geist has a takedown stuffed.
Tihata throws a head kick that misses.
Tihata misses with a low kick.
Tihata throws a wild body kick that Geist sees coming a mile off.
Geist throws a series of punches but Tihata moves out of range.
Tihata throws a sloppy head kick and Geist moves out of range easily.
Geist takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tihata cracks Geist with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Viktor Geist has been cut.
Tihata looks to land a body kick but Geist moved away.
A slapping body kick lands there for Tihata.
Tihata pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Geist.
Tihata wants to control but Geist postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tihata tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tihata manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Geist trying to hold on to Tihata's head to control him but Tihata postures up.
Tihata is pressing down on Geist's thigh, looking to free his foot. Geist is holding on for now.

Geist is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tihata's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tihata's back!
Tihata is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Tihata covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Can Tihata hold on?! Geist is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Tihata manages to reverse the position and now he's in Geist's guard. Nice work there by Tihata.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Geist looking for a sweep. Not yet Geist, not yet.
Tihata trying to control but Geist is working from the bottom.
Tihata stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Geist swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tihata trying to control the position from guard on top but Geist is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tihata trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Geist manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Geist is in the full mount, landing strikes.
A nice elbow there by Geist.

Tihata is trying to escape the mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tihata wants to hold on but Geist pushes him away.
Geist landing shots from mount.
Geist has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tihata's face.
Tihata is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Geist! Tihata is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
