Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Draper Franc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Nash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Draper Franc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Nash!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franc keeps the fight on the outside.

Franc shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Nash napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Franc stands up.

Franc shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nash won't allow Franc to pass to mount.
Franc stalling.
Nash wants to control but Franc is keeping busy.
Franc moves into full mount! Nash won't be happy about that!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Franc trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Nash avoids a series of strikes thrown by Franc.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nash tries to hold on but Franc pushes him away.
Nash is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nash can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nash is looking to improve his position but Franc isn't that keen on the idea.
Nash manages to regain half guard. Good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Franc drops an elbow to the side of Nash's head.
Franc wants to stand up but Nash is controlling the position.
Franc blocks the strikes from Nash.
Nash trying to hold on to Franc's head to control him but Franc postures up.
Franc is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Nash is trying to stand up here but Franc is controlling him well.

Nash actively working from the bottom here.
Nash looks gassed!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Franc wants to stand up but Nash is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Franc keeps the fight on the outside.
Franc shoots for a double leg takedown but Nash sprawls well. He's pushed Franc's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nash tries to clinch but Franc is having none of it.
Rick Nash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nash tries to clinch up but Franc circles away and keeps his distance.
Nash is looking to clinch.
Nash tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Franc paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Nash tries to hold on but Franc pushes him away.

Franc looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nash wants to control but Franc is having none of it.
Nash working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Franc can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Nash is looking to escape.
Nash stops Franc from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Draper Franc dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nash tries to close the distance and clinch up but Franc swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Franc.
Nash is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Franc is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Nash is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nash bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nash wants to control from the top but Franc keeps moving.
Franc preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Franc wants to stand up but Nash is controlling him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Nash pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Franc is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nash wants to clinch.
Franc swats away the attempt to clinch by Nash.
Nash fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nash fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nash tries to clinch but Franc moves out of range.
Nash tries to clinch there but Franc circles away.
Nash moves in looking to clinch but Franc pushes him off.
Nash is looking to clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Nash tries to clinch up.
Nash fails to land with a series of punches.

Franc throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Nash was covering up waiting for the punch and Franc finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Franc trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Nash lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Franc!
Franc is desperately trying to improve his position but Nash has a good base and remains in mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Draper Franc dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Nash tries to clinch up.
Nash misses with a hook. Franc ducked under it nicely.
Franc fails with the takedown.
Nash tries to clinch but Franc is having none of it.
Franc shoots in and drives through. Nash sprawls well.
Nash moves in looking to clinch but Franc pushes him off.
Nash misses with a takedown attempt

and Franc counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Nash's guard now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Franc is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Nash escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Franc gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Nash looking for a sweep. Not yet Nash, not yet.

Franc content to stall in guard here.
Nash trying to keep a closed guard but Franc is proving a slippery customer.

Franc gets to his feet - Nash follows without any prompting.
Franc circles away from the clinch attempt

and Franc moves into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nash wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nash trying to control the position but instead, Franc has worked for underhooks and has pushed Nash into the cage.
Nash is trying to break free.
Nash can't find room to land a body shot as Franc controls the action.
Nash tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Franc avoids it.
Franc goes for a takedown in the clinch but Nash prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Draper Franc. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Franc drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nash throws a head punch that misses.
Nash lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Nash misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Franc.
Nash tries to circle away but Franc has him pinned against the cage.
Nash misses with an elbow over the top.
Franc avoiding damage.
Nash throws a head punch that misses.
Nash can't find room to land a body shot as Franc controls the action.
Nash lands a shot to the body.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Franc prevents Nash from breaking the clinch.
Nash trying to stall but Franc improves his position.
Nash landing knees to the body.
Nash lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Franc backwards.
Franc controlling the action here for a moment.
Nash pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Nash pushes Franc back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Franc pressing his opponent against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nash misses with a short punch on the inside.
Rick Nash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nash with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

And that's the end of the fight!
Draper Franc showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Franc, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
