Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Zukerrman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Woodie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Zukerrman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Woodie!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zukerrman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Woodie's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zukerrman thows a big elbow that misses.
Woodie is trying to control the position but Zukerrman postures up.
Zukerrman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Zukerrman postures up in Woodie's guard and throws a big left but Woodie blocks it.
Zukerrman wants to control from the top but Woodie keeps moving.
Woodie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Zukerrman is really struggling to control Woodie but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Woodie throws a nice looking combination but Zukerrman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Zukerrman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Woodie.
Zukerrman is working Woodie over against the cage.
Zukerrman using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Woodie has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Zukerrman gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Zukerrman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Zukerrman is trying to control the action in half guard but Woodie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Zukerrman.
Woodie throws a leg kick which misses Zukerrman's front leg but catches the back leg as Zukerrman tries to avoid it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zukerrman really wants to buck Woodie off and get back to his feet.

Woodie lands a big shot there that rocks Zukerrman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Zukerrman is bucking up trying to escape but Woodie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Zukerrman is looking to improve his position but Woodie isn't that keen on the idea.
Woodie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zukerrman is looking to escape.

Woodie throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Zukerrman because Woodie loaded up on that one.
Zukerrman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zukerrman tries to get out of the position.
Zukerrman holds on for dear life, controlling Woodie's posture momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Woodie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zukerrman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Zukerrman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woodie on the ground.

Woodie decides to stand up.
Woodie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zukerrman paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Zukerrman drives through and clinches with Woodie against the cage.
Woodie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zukerrman walks away with a smile on his face. Woodie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Zukerrman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Woodie's guard now.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Woodie is on top in guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Zukerrman throws a shot from downtown. Woodie moves away and avoids it.
Woodie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Woodie throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Zukerrman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Zukerrman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Woodie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Zukerrman has Woodie in his guard.

Zukerrman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Woodie defends well.

Well Zukerrman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
