Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eugenio Zaffaronni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bible Basher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bible Basher has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugenio Zaffaronni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bible Basher! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basher misses with a takedown attempt - Zaffaronni sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Zaffaronni looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Basher throws a wild body kick that Zaffaronni sees coming a mile off. Basher scores with a takedown into Zaffaronni's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Basher wants to pass the guard but Zaffaronni is keeping the position. Basher stands and steps away. Zaffaronni gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Zaffaronni shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Basher is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Basher is looking to improve his position but Zaffaronni isn't that keen on the idea. Basher slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Basher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Basher wants to control but Zaffaronni is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Basher looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Basher keeping moving, preventing Zaffaronni from controlling successfully. Basher pushes Zaffaronni off and gets back to his feet.
Basher shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Basher was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zaffaronni wants to hold on but Basher pushes him away. Zaffaronni is looking to get to half guard. Basher get's back to his feet. Basher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Zaffaronni! Zaffaronni tries to lock up and control but Basher gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zaffaronni gets back to half guard. Basher trying to mount his opponent but Zaffaronni defends it. Basher looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Zaffaronni won't allow Basher to pass to mount. Zaffaronni wants to get back to full guard but Basher has passed into side control. Basher wants to finish this one by submission but Zaffaronni is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Basher. Basher looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Basher avoids the attempt from Zaffaronni to control. Basher controlling from the full mount. Basher swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Zaffaronni is now in Basher's guard. A big mistake from Basher there, giving up the dominant position! Zaffaronni is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Basher can do anything to dispel that myth. Basher managing to control the position. Zaffaronni is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Basher is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Basher has escaped and now he's on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zaffaronni looking to hit a scissor sweep but Basher is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Basher wants to pass the guard but Zaffaronni is keeping the position. Basher wants to control from the top but Zaffaronni keeps moving. Basher postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zaffaronni is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Basher, into his guard. Zaffaronni forces his way into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bible Basher dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Basher misses with a takedown attempt so Zaffaronni counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Basher looking to control.
Basher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zaffaronni can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Zaffaronni trying to control but Basher is working from the bottom. Bible Basher has got the better of the ground game so far. Basher looking for a sweep. Not yet Basher, not yet. Basher had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zaffaronni is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Basher Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zaffaronni's back instead. Zaffaronni staying busy and making it hard for Basher to control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zaffaronni fending off the submission attempt from Basher. Zaffaronni tries to roll but Basher sticks to his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Basher looking for the RNC. Can Zaffaronni hold on?! Basher is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zaffaronni is staying active underneath Basher, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Basher slows the pace down in half guard. Basher tries to stand and escape but Zaffaronni is controlling the position. Basher is working for a kimura but Zaffaronni is defending it quite comfortably.
Basher is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Zaffaronni makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zaffaronni. Basher wants to control from the top but Zaffaronni keeps moving. Basher tries to free his leg and advance position but Zaffaronni is retaining full guard. Basher trying to control but Zaffaronni is working from the bottom. Zaffaronni working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Basher has passed into half guard!
Basher escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Basher scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Zaffaronni sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Basher looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Zaffaronni tries to roll over but Basher keeps him under control. Basher is trying to control the action in half guard but Zaffaronni is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Basher is working for a submission of some sort.
Basher wants to control but Zaffaronni is keeping him busy. Basher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zaffaronni is just riding it out for now. Basher eventually gives up the hold. Zaffaronni is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bible Basher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
