Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cy Coe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is La Roux - In For The Kill. Coe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Insane In The Membrane - Cypress Hill kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cy Coe! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coe misses with a low kick as Carter jumps back. Carter throws a right hand that Coe ducks under and follows up with a left that Coe also avoids with ease. Carter throws a series of punches but Coe moves out of range. Coe throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice jab there from Carter. Carter closes the distance and clinches. Coe breaks the clinch.

It looks like Cy Coe has been cut. Both fighters circling a little - Carter finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Coe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Carter sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter has hold of Coe's hands but Coe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Carter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Coe pulls his head out easily. Carter looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Carter manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Coe is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Coe trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Coe looking to control the position here, rather than advance. I looks like Coe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Coe won't allow Carter to sweep him here. Carter is looking to stand up but Coe isn't so interested in that idea. Coe tries to free his leg and advance position but Carter is retaining full guard. Carter is looking to stand up but Coe isn't so interested in that idea. Coe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Carter working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Coe has passed into half guard!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carter looking for submissions off his back. Coe missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Coe missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Coe seems to be working for a kimura but Carter defends the submission attempt. Coe lands a really nice looking cross but Carter seems unphased.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A combination from Carter does no damage. Coe misses with a few strikes there.

and Coe counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Carter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cy Coe's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Coe tries to bum rush Carter with a series of wild strikes but Carter uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A slapping leg kick lands for Carter.
Carter tries to clinch but fails miserably and Coe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Coe swats him away and circles back towards the center. Carter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Coe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carter misses with a few strikes there.
Coe lands a nice shot that snaps Carter's head back.
Coe moves out of range of the strikes. Coe looks to land a left hand but Carter moved out of range nicely. Carter throws a front kick aimed at Coe's knee but Coe avoids it well. Carter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Carter connects with the punch. A swing and a miss from Coe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter moves in looking to clinch but Coe pushes him off. Carter throws a right and a left that Coe avoids nicely. Coe clobbers Carter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. A jab from Carter misses. A telegraphed right hand from Coe misses the target. Coe walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Carter staying out of range there. Mike Carter is winning the standup battle so far. Carter thows a body shot but no joy. Coe tries to score with a low kick but Carter moves his leg out of the way. Carter throws a leg kick but Coe sees it coming and moves out of range. Carter throws a leg kick which misses Coe's front leg but catches the back leg as Coe tries to avoid it. Coe tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Coe misses with an uppercut. A combination from Coe does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Carter. Carter lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Carter misses with a hook. Coe ducked under it nicely. Carter ducks under a wild hook from Coe. Coe drives through with a takedown into guard. Coe is breathing heavily. Coe won't allow Carter to sweep him here. Carter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Carter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Coe preventing the sweep. Carter looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

and Coe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Donk. Coe catches Carter right on the button with a cross. Coe throws a hook to the side of Carter's head but Carter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Coe pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Coe slips a jab from Carter. Carter looks to land a right hand but Coe moved out of range. Carter darts in trying to clinch and Carter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coe fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A nice combination there by Carter.

Coe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Coe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Carter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Coe throws out the jab. Coe throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coe misses the body punch and Carter connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Carter connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Coe swings for the body but Carter moves out of range.
Coe slips a jab from Carter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Carter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Cy Coe's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Carter moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Mike Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coe swings for the body but Carter moves out of range.

and Coe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Carter lands a left and a right that send Coe crashing to the mat, dazed. Carter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Coe is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Coe is still on wobbly legs! Can Carter finish him? Carter scores with an uppercut up the middle. Coe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Coe wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Carter is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Carter stops a takedown attempt from Coe.

Coe seems to have recovered his senses. Carter connects with a knee to the head.

Carter lands with a light punch inside. Carter throws a head punch that misses. Carter stalling in the clinch but Coe improves position. Coe is working for takedown but Carter is calmly controlling the position for now. Mike Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cy Coe. Carter lands a good knee to the midsection. Coe won't want to take too many of those. A short right from Carter on the inside. Carter's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carter tries to clinch but Coe is having none of it. Carter tries a head kick but it misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Carter cracks Coe with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Coe throws a predictable looking body shot
and Carter counters with a good, hard body kick but Coe shrugs it off. Coe takes one to the side of the head.
Carter scores with a jab to the jaw. Carter wants to clinch. Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coe moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Carter lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Carter throws a right hand that Coe ducks under and follows up with a left that Coe also avoids with ease. Carter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coe keeps the fight on the outside. Carter tries to clinch but Coe moves out of range. Coe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carter.

Cy Coe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mike Carter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Coe with a flurry of punches that miss. Carter has his feet on Coe's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carter clobbers Coe with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Coe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Carter can pounce on him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Coe falls off balance throwing a combination

letting Carter counter with a right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Carter showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
