Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kieran Dalley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Berting (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dalley's entrance music is A Perfect Circle - Outsider. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Dalley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Berting!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berting closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Berting lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dalley wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Berting manages to pass to side control.

Berting escapes and gets back to his feet.
Dalley is looking to clinch.
Dalley doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Berting counters by clinching up.

Berting gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dalley regains guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Berting stands and steps away. Dalley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Dalley throws a right and a left that both miss.

Berting looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dalley tries to kick Berting off but Berting keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Still in half guard, Berting seems content to control.
Dalley is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dalley punching from the bottom.
Berting winds up and cracks Dalley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Dalley trying to hold on to Berting's head to control him but Berting postures up.
Berting looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Berting thows a huge punch but Dalley dodges it nicely.

Berting gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Dalley is breathing heavily.
Nice defenses there by Berting.
Dalley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Berting.
Dalley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Berting misses with a wild combination.
Dalley works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dalley throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Berting counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Berting counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Berting content to stall in guard here.
Berting thows a big elbow that misses.

Berting decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Berting darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dalley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Berting on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dalley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dalley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Berting postures up and lands a big shot to Dalley's brow.
Berting passes Dalley's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Berting working over Dalley with some ground and pound. Dalley looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Berting connects with a nice short shot to Dalley's temple.
Berting throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Berting drops an elbow to the side of Dalley's head.
Berting takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Berting lands a nice short elbow.
Dalley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Berting scores with a couple of nice shots.

Berting seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dalley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Berting not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Berting seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Berting landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Berting prevents Dalley from improving his position.

Kyle Berting showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Berting stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Dalley keeps the fight on the outside.
Dalley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Berting counters with a takedown into side control.

Berting stands up.

Berting has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dalley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dalley is trying to break the clinch but Berting has him pressed against the cage.

Dalley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Berting is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dalley to the mat. Dalley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Berting chips away with some ground and pound.
Berting has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Berting is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Berting has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dalley is on top in guard.

Berting is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Berting is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Berting can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dalley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dalley wants to control from the top but Berting keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dalley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Berting keeping moving, preventing Dalley from controlling successfully.
Berting has his hands on Dalley's head, controlling the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dalley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dalley throws a nice looking combination but Berting bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Berting rushes Dalley and presses him up against the cage.

Berting drags the fight down to the ground.
Dalley is looking to work some ground and pound but Berting has wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dalley looking to sit in guard and control but Berting gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Berting decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dalley, up you get!
Some wild striking there from Dalley.
Berting swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dalley counters with a straight right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Dalley crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Berting - the referee stops the clock and Dalley gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Berting. Dalley manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Berting moves out of range as Dalley strikes.
Kieran Dalley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kyle Berting is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dalley on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Kyle Berting comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Berting has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
