The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powarenko scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Powarenko is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Powarenko is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Orton sees it coming and defends easily.
Powarenko is trying to work for a kimura but Orton is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Orton missing with punches from the bottom.
Powarenko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Orton is just riding it out for now. Powarenko eventually gives up the hold.
Orton is pressing down on Powarenko's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Powarenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Orton throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Powarenko drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Powarenko as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Orton screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Powarenko! Nice submission victory there!
