The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milenko throws out a loose jab but Filatov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Milenko cracks Filatov with an open hand slap.

It looks like Slava Filatov has been cut.
Filatov shoots in for a double leg but Milenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Filatov moves away from the strike by Milenko.

Filatov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Filatov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Milenko tries to buck Filatov off but he can't manage it.
Filatov lands a big shot there that rocks Milenko but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Milenko wants to control but Filatov is having none of it.
