Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nelson Whapper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kami Kaze!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Kaze.

Whapper ducks straight into an uppercut from Kaze and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Whapper manages to regain guard straight away.


Whapper is rocked!
Whapper lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kaze!
Oh Whapper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Whapper throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Whapper seems to have got his legs back now.
Whapper throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kaze because Whapper loaded up on that one.

Kaze wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Whapper.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Whapper trying to control but Kaze is having none of it.

Whapper wants to control the pace but Kaze is squirming around nicely.

Whapper throws some wild stikes that Kaze manages to avoid easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Whapper throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Kaze is squirming around, avoiding Whapper's attempts to control the action.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Nelson Whapper just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Kaze stuffs the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kami Kaze dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kaze stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kaze wants it to stay on the feet.
Kaze blocks a head kick by Whapper.
Whapper fails with a takedown attempt.
Whapper takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kami Kaze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whapper misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nelson Whapper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kaze shoots in for a double leg but Whapper sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kaze throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kaze scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Whapper tries to clinch but Kaze is having none of it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kaze misses with a takedown attempt - Whapper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kaze shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Whapper defends it nicely.

Kaze drops Whapper with a left and a right! Oh, Whapper is hurt - Kaze dives into side control looking to finish!


It looks like Nelson Whapper has been cut.

Kaze content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Kaze has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kaze.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Whapper.
Kaze lands a lovely overhand right.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Whapper with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kaze to score with a decent uppercut.
Kaze works Whapper's body with a nice hook.
Whapper on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Whapper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaze swinging wildly here.
Whapper shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kaze lands a nice hook to Whapper's body. Whapper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Whapper walks into a jab.

Kaze darts in and clinches Whapper up against the cage.

Kaze breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Whapper 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Whapper doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kaze shoots in but Whapper avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kaze scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whapper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kaze connects with a good right hand that stumbles Whapper. Whapper circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kaze connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Whapper clinches but Kaze breaks the clinch
and Kaze counters with a crisp right that sends Whapper to the canvas! Kaze follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kami Kaze!
