Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Dosantes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Junior Dosantes! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Thomas! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters circling a little - Thomas finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Dosantes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomas swats him away and circles back towards the center. A jab from Dosantes misses. A slapping leg kick lands for Thomas.

Dosantes works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Thomas punishes Dosantes's body with a nice straight punch. Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Thomas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Dosantes will feel that in the morning. Thomas tries a head kick but it misses.

Thomas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dosantes sprawls well initially but Thomas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Thomas passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Thomas has hold of Dosantes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dosantes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dosantes is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Dosantes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thomas on the ground. Thomas is working for a guillotine from mount but Dosantes frees his head quite easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thomas cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dosantes's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Thomas is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Dosantes is forced to tap! Great finish!
