Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Paul Pulido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Cielo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Cielo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Paul Pulido!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Cielo!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pulido gets caught flat footed, as Cielo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pulido wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Pulido wants to sweep here but Cielo controlling him for the moment.

Pulido kicks Cielo off and gets to his feet.

Pulido changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cielo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pulido swings around for an armbar but Cielo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pulido's guard.

Pulido feints and as Cielo raises his hands in defense, Pulido changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Pulido counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cielo!

Pulido has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Cielo's face.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pulido, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
