The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer blocks a head kick by Overeem.
Overeem fails in his attempt to clinch.

and Overeem counters with a good, hard body kick but Hammer shrugs it off.
A left lands for Hammer.
It looks like Marijn Overeem has been cut.
Hammer closes the distance looking to clinch
and Overeem counters with a head kick.

Hammer closes the distance and clinches.
Hammer's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Overeem stops a takedown attempt from Hammer.

Overeem manages to break the clinch.
Hammer tries to clinch but Overeem moves away
and Overeem counters with a huge head kick that drops Hammer! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
