The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in but Rock avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rock changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

It looks like Damien Smith has been cut.
Rock throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rock throws a hook but Smith avoids it easily.

Smith is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rock has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rock!

Rock's corner calls for a 1-2. Rock obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Rock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rock tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rock to the ground. Rock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rock darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
