Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Nigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nigal's entrance music is 5FDP-Meet The Monster. A fine choice. Silva has chosen Injection as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jack Nigal has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Nigal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marko Silva! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nigal doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Nigal moves in looking to clinch but Silva pushes him off. Silva is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nigal's half guard. Nigal is looking to improve his position.
Nigal gets full guard. Silva trying to control but Nigal is working from the bottom. Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nigal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Nigal's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nigal regains full guard. Nicely done. Nigal is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well. Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva preventing the sweep. Nigal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nigal is breathing heavily. Nigal isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Silva stacks Nigal on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Silva!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Will Silva go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silva keeps control of the position as Nigal tries to break free.
Nigal breaks Silva's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Nigal will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Silva tries to work over Nigal's front leg with a kick but Nigal checks it. Silva blocks a jab. Nigal doesn't succeed with the takedown and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nigal! Nigal is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nigal sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Nigal wants to get back to full guard. Nigal is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nigal is looking to control Silva's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nigal avoid being mounted? Nigal wants to get back to full guard. Nigal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nigal looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silva is pressing down on Nigal's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nigal is holding on for now. Nigal tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silva looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nigal! Nigal is in all sorts of trouble here.

Nigal tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nigal really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nigal is working hard here to advance position. Silva tries to control but Nigal wriggling away. Nigal slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Nigal is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nigal is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily. Silva is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Nigal! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marko Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jack Nigal is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nigal tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silva has his takedown stuffed and Nigal counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nigal counters by moving into the clinch.

Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nigal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nigal is looking to clinch but Silva is avoiding it.
Nigal wants to clinch but Silva slips to the side and Silva counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Nigal is trying to get back to full guard. Silva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
