PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Klas Aberton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Pulawsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pulawsky has chosen Born in the PRL as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Klas Aberton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Pulawsky!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulawsky looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Pulawsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pulawsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aberton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aberton postures up in Pulawsky's guard and throws a big left but Pulawsky blocks it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aberton trying to control the position from guard on top but Pulawsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Aberton dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pulawsky misses with a two punch combination.

Pulawsky gets a takedown into half guard.
Pulawsky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aberton with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pulawsky seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Aberton is trying to get back to full guard.
Pulawsky is nestled in close to Aberton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pulawsky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aberton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pulawsky is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Aberton reverses the position - he's now on top in Pulawsky's guard.

Pulawsky shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aberton but Aberton pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Aberton closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Aberton works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Aberton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pulawsky knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Pulawsky shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aberton's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pulawsky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aberton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pulawsky.

Pulawsky keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Aberton's head.

Aberton is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pulawsky throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Aberton's body to avoid the submission. Aberton has instead reached around Pulawsky's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aberton arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
