Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Friemal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Dover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Friemal! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Friemal is looking to clinch. Dover closes the distance but Friemal moves to the side and Friemal counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dover is trying to break free. Dover turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Friemal struggling a bit here. Dover tries to stand but Friemal is controlling his head. Dover misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Friemal tries to improve position but can't. Dover wants to stand but Friemal has his arm trapped. Friemal wants to control but Dover postures up. Friemal gets back to half guard. Dover not landing any meaningful shots this time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Dover closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dover lands in his opponent's guard. Friemal not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Friemal wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dover pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Friemal is keeping the position for now. Dover postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dover seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Friemal keeping moving, preventing Dover from controlling successfully. Dover in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dover showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dover trying to control the position from guard on top but Friemal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dover wants to stand but Friemal has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dover scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Friemal trying to control but Dover flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Dover gets his hands free as Friemal looks to control. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Friemal turns into Dover and is now in his guard.
Friemal trying to control the position from guard on top but Dover is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dover is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Friemal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Friemal tries to free his leg and advance position but Dover is retaining full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. No luck for Dover with that takedown attempt. Friemal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dover can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Friemal trying to control the action but Dover is working from the bottom. Dover misses with an elbow from the bottom. Friemal working away. Dover is trying to improve his position. Dover wants to control but Friemal postures up. Dover tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dover sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Dover gets full guard. Friemal is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dover controlling the position. Dover is looking to stand up but Friemal isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Dover dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dover has his takedown stuffed and Friemal holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Dover prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dover jumps guard.
Friemal controlling from the top position. Dover pulls Friemal in close to prevent any damage. Friemal wants to control from the top but Dover keeps moving. Friemal stopping the sweep attempt from Dover. Friemal pushes down on Dover's leg and manages to get into half guard. Friemal takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dover is controlling Friemal's position as best he can from this difficult position. Dover pushes Friemal off and gets back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dover tries for a takedown but Friemal sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Dover shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Friemal pinned against the cage. Friemal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Dover. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dover gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dover keeping moving, preventing Friemal from controlling successfully. Friemal throwing strikes but missing. Friemal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Friemal controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dover is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Friemal controlling from the top position. Dover is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Friemal keeps control of the position for the meantime. Friemal has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dover is working away from the top position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jason Friemal just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Friemal rushes Dover and presses him up against the cage. Friemal has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dover uses from the top position. Dover trying to control the position from guard on top but Friemal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ben Dover overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dover is fighting to break Friemal's control of his arms but Friemal is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dover stopping the sweep attempt from Friemal. Friemal trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Dover wants to control from the top but Friemal keeps moving. Friemal pulls Dover in close to his closed guard and prevents Dover from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dover thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Friemal can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dover controls the pace. Dover has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Friemal has momentary wrist control but Dover slips an elbow through the middle. Friemal keeping moving, preventing Dover from controlling successfully. Dover gets to his feet - Friemal follows without any prompting. Dover gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Friemal counters by clinching up. Friemal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dover avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dover jumps into guard, dragging Friemal to the mat.

A close second round but Jason Friemal will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Friemal tries to clinch but Dover moves away and Dover decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Friemal's guard. Doveris looking to pass into half guard but Friemal pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Friemal is in guard. Friemal sitting in guard, not really doing much. Friemal stops Dover from standing up. Friemal trying to control the position from guard on top but Dover is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dover is looking for a triangle here but Friemal uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Friemal passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dover! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dover wants to hold on but Friemal pushes him away. Friemal tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Dover is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Friemal tries to control but Dover wriggling away. Dover bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Friemal is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dover wants to stand but Friemal is controlling his posture from full guard. Friemal has his hands on Dover's head, controlling the position. Friemal is working an open guard so Dover takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dover tries to close the distance and clinch up but Friemal swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dover pushes Friemal up against the cage in a clinch. Dover breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dover gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Friemal counters with a takedown into side control. Dover wants to control but Friemal postures up. Dover is not content to let Friemal control the position. Dover struggling a bit here. Dover is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Friemal is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Dover is trying to get back to half guard. Dover tries to escape but Friemal is in control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Friemal tries to move to mount but Dover blocks the move with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dover scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Dover shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Friemal but Friemal pushes him off and we're back to square one. Friemal shoots for a double leg takedown but Dover sprawls well. He's pushed Friemal's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Friemal scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Friemal is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Friemal fails to advance to Dover's back. Dover wants to get back to his feet.
Friemal tries to control but Dover wriggling away. Dover tries to lock up and control but Friemal gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dover is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Friemal avoids the attempt from Dover to control. Dover really wants to buck Friemal off and get back to his feet. Friemal working for a guillotine from mount but Dover is in no mood to give up. Friemal tries to control but Dover wriggling away. Friemal unloads with some shots from mount but Dover bucks and avoids them well.
Dover is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Friemal tries to control but Dover wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jason Friemal. I think Friemal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
