Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toby Chapelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ultimate Victory. Renato Alves acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toby Chapelle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Alves!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapelle missing with a left hand there. Alves was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Alves throws a hook but Chapelle blocks it.
Chapelle just misses with a punch to the body.
Chapelle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alves.
A telegraphed right hand from Chapelle misses the target.
Chapelle tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Alves misses with a body kick.
Chapelle thows a body shot but no joy.
Chapelle throws a series of punches but Alves moves out of range.
Alves takes a jab right on the kisser.
Alves throws a head kick but Chapelle moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alves shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Alves was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Alves postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chapelle looks a forlorn figure.
Chapelle has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.

Chapelle has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Alves misses with an elbow to the head.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Alves's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Alves. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chapelle is trying to get back to his feet but Alves has full control of the position and if anything, Chapelle has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Alves is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Chapelle defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Chapelle wants to get back to his feet.

Chapelle is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alves looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A combination from Chapelle does no damage.

Alves throws a head kick that misses.
Chapelle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alves.
Chapelle dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alves. That did some damage!

and Chapelle counters with a head kick. That will keep Alves thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Chapelle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alves.
Chapelle throws a hook to the side of Alves's head but Alves sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chapelle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Toby Chapelle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chapelle lands a jab.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chapelle lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Alves has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Alves and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Alves throws out a loose jab but Chapelle uses good head movement to avoid it.

Chapelle throws a sloppy head kick and Alves moves out of range easily.
Alves closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Chapelle tries a low kick but Alves avoids it.
Alves tries to clinch but Chapelle is having none of it.
Chapelle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alves was well out of range. Poor timing from Chapelle.
Chapelle slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Chapelle throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Chapelle misses with a double jab.
Chapelle dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chapelle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alves throws a leg kick but Chapelle sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Alves misses with an uppercut. Chapelle saw that one coming.
Chapelle lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chapelle throws a jab but it's blocked by Alves.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toby Chapelle dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Alves walks into a straight right hand from Chapelle.
Alves throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Alves takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Chapelle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chapelle scores with a leg kick.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
A cross from Alves lands.
A punch combination from Chapelle misses.
Alves pivots, looking for a leg kick but Chapelle is out of range and Alves settles back down.
Alves takes a jab right on the kisser.
Alves swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chapelle scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Alves doesn't seem bothered though.
Chapelle scores with a sloppy right hand. Alves should have avoided that one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Alves connects with a body shot.
Alves is breathing heavily.

Chapelle scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Chapelle looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Chapelle feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Alves's calf.
Chapelle misses with an uppercut.
Chapelle with a nice cross.
Chapelle misses with a low kick.
Chapelle circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Alves drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Chapelle follows Alves to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toby Chapelle!
