Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kid Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Soza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller's entrance music is Walk This Land. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Soza's choice of entrance music: Sponge Bob Theme Song. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kid Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Soza!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller lands a front kick.
No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt.
Miller checks a low kick from Soza.
Some bone on bone action there as Miller checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A head kick misses from Soza.
No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt.
Miller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Soza. That did some damage!
Miller is looking to slow Soza down with leg kicks.
Miller throws a leg kick
letting Soza counter with a right hand.
Soza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Soza's calf.
Miller shoots in for a double leg but Soza sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Miller throws a big right hand that misses.
Soza preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Miller throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Soza works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Soza is looking to stand up but Miller isn't so interested in that idea.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Miller wants to control from the top but Soza keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Miller forces Soza back against the cage and clinches.
Soza pushes off an throws an elbow but Miller leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Soza wants to get back to striking at distance but Miller won't allow it.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Miller.
Miller goes for a takedown attempt but Soza pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A nice leg kick lands there from Miller.
Miller scores with a shot to the body.
Miller chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Soza has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Miller finds it's way round the side to connect with Soza's head.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miller.
Miller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Soza moves away.
Soza takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Miller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Miller fails with the takedown.
Miller lands with a cross.
Miller throws a wild body kick that Soza sees coming a mile off.
Soza moves out of range of the strikes.
Soza stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet.
Soza takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Soza misses with a body shot.
Soza walks forward, straight into a front kick from Miller.
Miller moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Miller lands with a kick to the temple. Soza shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Bob Soza has been cut.
Soza blocks a low kick nicely.
Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by Soza which made him look bad.
Miller misses with the combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Miller shoots in and drives through. Soza sprawls well.
Miller tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Miller shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Miller lands with a thumping leg kick.
Soza blocks a jab.
Miller throws a hook but Soza blocks it.
Soza on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Soza throws out a leg kick but Miller moves out of range and Soza only half commits.
Soza takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Kid Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller is looking to clinch.

Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Miller lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Soza down.

Miller postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Good leg kick by Soza there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Soza counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Soza counters with a three punch combo that has Miller backing up. Miller nods at Soza to acknowledge the strikes.

Soza throws a low kick, looking for Miller's leg but Miller calmly moves out of range.
Soza swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Miller.
Soza staying out of range there.
Soza throws a solid leg kick but Miller takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Soza.
A lazy body kick from Miller
and Soza counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Soza's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Miller tries to clinch up
and Soza cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Soza swats away the attempt to clinch by Miller.
Soza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt.
Miller looks for a takedown but Soza sprawls well.
Kid Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A head kick from Soza lands but Miller takes it in his stride.

Bob Soza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bob Soza comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
