PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lars Olofsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Bloodbath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lars Olofsson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bloodbath!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olofsson darts in and clinches Bloodbath up against the cage.

Bloodbath stalls.

Bloodbath breaks from the clinch.

Olofsson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bloodbath stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Bloodbath is trying to maintain a safe position but Olofsson gets an underhook and turns Bloodbath into the cage.

Olofsson tries to throw a body punch but Bloodbath avoids it by throwing Olofsson back against the cage.

Bloodbath manages to break the clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bloodbath lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Olofsson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Olofsson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bloodbath has managed to clinch.
Bloodbath jumps guard but Olofsson stands there with Bloodbath around his waist. Bloodbath gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bloodbath unloads a knee to the mid-section. Olofsson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Bloodbath wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Olofsson has him pressed against the cage.

Olofsson swings wildly with an uppercut but Bloodbath uses good head movement to avoid it.
Olofsson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bloodbath fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bloodbath sneaks out the side door and pushes Olofsson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bloodbath is trying to break free.
Nice body punch from Bloodbath.
Olofsson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bloodbath gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Olofsson jumps guard but Bloodbath stands there with Olofsson around his waist. Olofsson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Olofsson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bloodbath doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Olofsson.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Olofsson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
