Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerry Brewer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Reynolds! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynolds dodges the punch combination from Brewer.
Brewer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Reynolds is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Reynolds regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Brewer. Brewer stops Reynolds from standing up. Reynolds is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Breweris looking to pass into half guard but Reynolds pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Reynolds is in guard. Brewer working for a triangle but Reynolds defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reynolds throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brewer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brewer keeping moving, preventing Reynolds from controlling successfully. Brewer can't keep his opponent in guard - Reynolds advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Brewer wants to get back to full guard. Brewer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Reynolds pulls his head out easily. Brewer works his way to full guard. Good work. Reynolds must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reynolds wants to control from the top but Brewer keeps moving. Brewer is trying to control the position but Reynolds postures up. Brewer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reynolds defends it easily. Reynolds landing some decent shots from guard. Reynolds wants to pass the guard but Brewer is keeping the position. Reynolds looking to sit in guard and control but Brewer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynolds wants to improve his position but instead Brewer has moved into half guard.
Reynolds is in trouble now - Brewer has advanced to mount! Reynolds takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. A nice elbow there by Brewer. Brewer manages to capitalize on a mistake by Reynolds to take his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reynolds is trying to break free.
Reynolds is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Brewer off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Brewer is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reynolds breaks Brewer's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Brewer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reynolds wants to pass the guard but Brewer is keeping the position. Brewer keeping moving, preventing Reynolds from controlling successfully. Brewer wants to sweep here but Reynolds controlling him for the moment. Reynolds trying to control the position from guard on top but Brewer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reynolds misses with a double jab
and Brewer counters with a nice uppercut. Brewer misses with a few strikes there.
Reynolds misses with a takedown attempt enabling Brewer to counter with a crisp jab. Brewer throws a hook but Reynolds blocks it. Brewer dips to his left and cracks Reynolds with an uppercut! Some wild striking there from Brewer.
Reynolds with a poor takedown and Brewer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Reynolds tries for a takedown but Brewer circles away easily and Brewer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Reynolds won't be happy with that. Jerry Brewer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Reynolds. Reynolds is trying to get back to half guard. Brewer tries to score with some ground and pound. Reynolds controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Brewer is trying to ground and pound but Reynolds uses the momentary lack of control by Brewer to regain half guard. Reynolds is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds is trying to control but Brewer passes into side control!
Reynolds parries the strikes from Brewer easily there. Brewer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Reynolds to escape.
Brewer has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Reynolds is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Brewer yanks on the arm and Reynolds is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Brewer.
