Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Taktarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khengis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khengis Khan is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Taktarov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Khengis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan looks for a takedown but Taktarov sprawls well.
Khan shoots for a takedown but Taktarov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Nice combo by Taktarov! Oh, that's hurt him - Khan falls to the canvas and Taktarov follows him into side control.


It looks like Khengis Khan has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Taktarov landing a few strikes.
Taktarov throws a strike aimed at the side of Khan's head but Khan avoids it well.
Khan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Khan manages to get to full guard.
Taktarov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Khan wants to sweep but no luck.

Khan looking for a guillotine here but Taktarov defends easily.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Taktarov's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Khan managing to control the position.
Taktarov chips away with some ground and pound.
Khan trying to strike off his back.
Khan keeping moving, preventing Taktarov from controlling successfully.
Taktarov controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Khan throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Khan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Taktarov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Khan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Taktarov has Khan in his guard.

Taktarov is looking for a triangle but Khan pushes his legs off easily.
Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but Taktarov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Taktarov looking for a sweep. Not yet Taktarov, not yet.
Khan is looking to stand up but Taktarov won't let him.

Khan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Taktarov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khan has managed to get both his arms back between Taktarov's legs - danger averted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Khan trying to control the position from guard on top but Taktarov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taktarov isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Khan stacks Taktarov on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Khan!
Khan is looking to take a break and control but Taktarov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Taktarov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Khan.
Oleg Taktarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khengis Khan.
Khan lands a head kick. Taktarov smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Khan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taktarov as he avoids it easily.
Taktarov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Khan circles away quickly and effectively.
Khan doesn't manage to clinch there - Taktarov circles away.
Taktarov tries to bum rush Khan with a series of wild strikes but Khan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Khan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Taktarov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Khan defends well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Taktarov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Oleg Taktarov dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Khengis Khan's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A combination from Taktarov does no damage.
Taktarov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Khan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Khan is defended easily by Taktarov.
Taktarov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Khan manages to avoid it.
Taktarov tries for a takedown but Khan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Oleg Taktarov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan misses with a combination
and Taktarov counters with a one-two to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Khan doesn't manage to clinch there - Taktarov circles away.
Taktarov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Khan has a takedown stuffed.
Oleg Taktarov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khengis Khan.

Taktarov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khan throws a sloppy head kick and Taktarov moves out of range easily.
Khan shoots in for a takedown but Taktarov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Taktarov misses with a combination
and Khan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Taktarov is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Khan wants to get back to his feet but Taktarov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Taktarov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Taktarov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Khan is trying to keep Taktarov in close.

Khan working for submissions but it's allowed Taktarov to get to half guard.
Taktarov trying to mount his opponent but Khan defends it.
Khan tries to roll over but Taktarov keeps him under control.

Taktarov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Khan is trying to control but can't.
Khan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Khan.
Khan keeping moving, preventing Taktarov from controlling successfully.
Taktarov is looking to work some ground and pound but Khan has wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Taktarov won't allow Khan to sweep him here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Taktarov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Khan has his takedown stuffed
and Taktarov counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.


That has opened up Khengis Khan's cut even more.

Taktarov scores a takedown into full mount!
BOOM! Taktarov connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Taktarov putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Taktarov with shots to the head and body - Khan looks very uncomfortable down there.

Taktarov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Khan is now in Taktarov's guard. A big mistake from Taktarov there, giving up the dominant position!
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut above Khengis Khan's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Khengis Khan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Oleg Taktarov!
