PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jack Arlovski has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jack Arlovski seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlovski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hughes's head backwards.
Arlovski keeps Hughes at a distance using the push kick.
Hughes moves in looking to clinch but Arlovski pushes him off.
Hughes avoids the head kick by Arlovski.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Arlovski. Hughes shrugs it off though.

Hughes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hughes lands in his opponent's guard.
Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arlovski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hughes stands up and waves to Arlovski to follow him.
Hughes moves out of range of the leg kick from Arlovski.

Hughes darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Hughes is looking for a kimura but Arlovski is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hughes to get the leverage.
Arlovski wants to control but Hughes is keeping busy.
Arlovski is staying active underneath Hughes, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Arlovski wants to get back to his feet.
Arlovski is not content to let Hughes control the position.

Hughes seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Arlovski is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
