Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between General Orlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Belfort.
Orlov tries to clinch but Belfort moves out of range.
Orlov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Belfort but Belfort pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Belfort wants to clinch up but Orlov keeps it at a distance.
Orlov slips a jab and a cross from Belfort.

and Belfort decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Orlov's guard.
Orlov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Belfort works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Orlov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Belfort doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Belfort manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Belfort is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Orlov has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Orlov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Belfort stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Orlov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Belfort closes the distance and clinches.
Belfort tries for a takedown. No joy.
Orlov lands a knee to the head.
Orlov connects with a nasty looking knee right to Belfort's face.
Orlov is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Belfort wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Orlov has him pressed against the cage.

Orlov works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Orlov will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Belfort up against the cage.

Orlov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Belfort gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Belfort tries to pull guard but Orlov holds him up against the cage and eventually Belfort drops back down to his feet.
General Orlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Belfort.

Belfort has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Orlov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Belfort has tightened it up now! Orlov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
