Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Francis Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Francis Drake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Martin Walter! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Walter swings for the body but Drake moves out of range.
Walter throws a sloppy head kick and Drake moves out of range easily. Martin Walter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Drake fails to land with a series of punches.
Walter throws a head kick that misses. Walter lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Drake dives in and grabs Walter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walter pushes down on Drake's head and hops out. Drake looks for a takedown but Walter sprawls well. Walter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Drake closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walter did well to prevent Drake getting side control. Drake is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Drake not doing much here.
Walter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Drake is pressing down on Walter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walter is holding on for now. Drake keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Drake prevents Walter from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Walter is refusing to be controlled, as Drake sits in half guard. Walter is trying to stand up here but Drake is controlling him well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Walter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Drake to score an easy takedown into full guard. Walter manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Drake takes a body punch but keeps moving. Drake avoids the head kick by Walter.
A head kick misses from Walter. Drake decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Drake controlling the pace. Drake prevents Walter from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drake is looking to take a break and control but Walter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Walter tries to kick Drake off but Drake keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Drake stalling. Walter is trying to stand up here but Drake is controlling him well. Walter looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Drake frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Drake controlling from the full mount. Drake seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walter for as long as he can get away with. Walter is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Walter tries to buck Drake off so he can stand up but Drake has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Walter falls backwards, slamming Drake to the mat but Drake holds on tight! Walter is forced to tap and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Francis Drake!
