Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Gilkov.
Cherry wants to control but Gilkov postures up.

Gilkov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cherry to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cherry shrugs it off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Cherry has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gilkov is working away from the top position though.

Cherry jabs Gilkov right on the nose. Gilkov blinks but takes it well.

Cherry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cherry throws a low kick but Gilkov avoids it.
Horrible takedown by Gilkov or perhaps it was just good defense by Cherry which made him look bad.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Don Cherry will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Gilkov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cherry's guard.

Cherry has gone for a leg lock! Gilkov slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cherry's guard.
Cherry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wladimir Gilkov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gilkov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
