The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darius misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Villareal.

Darius keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Darius thows a body shot but no joy.

Villareal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Darius tries to avoid it but Villareal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Darius to the ground. Darius escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Richard Villareal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Darius lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Villareal has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Villareal and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Darius stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Darius wants it to stay on the feet.
Villareal shoots for a takedown but Darius saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Villareal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Darius paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Darius scores with a jab. Villareal acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Darius ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Darius sizes up Villareal with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Darius lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Villareal circles away quickly and effectively.

Villareal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Darius finds it's way round the side to connect with Villareal's head.
