The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Nelson. No joy for Sanchez on that attempt.
Sanchez throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Sanchez tries to clinch but Nelson moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Nelson. That's going to slow Sanchez down.
Nelson feints and then cracks Sanchez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sanchez down.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nelson.
Sanchez looks gassed!
Nelson has managed to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nelson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sanchez's face.
Nelson manages to break the clinch.
Nelson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nelson connects with a body shot.
Nelson cracks Sanchez with an open hand slap.
A jab from Nelson does it's job there.
Nelson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sanchez if he has to take too many more of those.
Nelson lands with a big left! Sanchez is wobbled badly! Nelson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Sanchez to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rogers Nelson!
