Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ieyasu Tokugawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki has chosen Prodigy - Breathe as his entrance music. Gilbert Aoki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Ieyasu Tokugawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gilbert Aoki! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tokugawa missing with a left hand there. Aoki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Aoki drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tokugawa isn't going anywhere. Tokugawa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Aoki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tokugawa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Tokugawa is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Aoki trying to control the position but Tokugawa is working away. Aoki is trying to get an arm triangle but Tokugawa is defending well. Aoki wants to finish this one by submission but Tokugawa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Aoki. Aoki is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tokugawa is surviving well by controlling Aoki's body position as best he can. Tokugawa is in all sorts of trouble here.

Aoki slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aoki won't allow Tokugawa to sweep him here. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Aoki trying to control but Tokugawa is working from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tokugawa is looking to clinch. Tokugawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aoki was well out of range. Poor timing from Tokugawa. A thudding body kick lands there by Tokugawa!

Tokugawa forces Aoki back against the cage and clinches. Aoki takes a knee to the side of the body. Tokugawa landing some nice looking knees to the body.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tokugawa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A nice leg kick lands there from Tokugawa. Aoki chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tokugawa can pounce on him.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tokugawa. That's going to slow Aoki down. Tokugawa closes the distance and clinches. Aoki tries to pull guard but Tokugawa won't allow it.
Tokugawa lands an elbow that stopped Aoki in his tracks for a moment. Tokugawa connects with a nasty looking knee right to Aoki's face.
It looks like Gilbert Aoki has been cut. Tokugawa lands a good knee to the midsection. Aoki won't want to take too many of those. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tokugawa landing knees to the head.

Aoki tries to pull guard but Tokugawa holds him up against the cage and eventually Aoki drops back down to his feet.

Ieyasu Tokugawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gilbert Aoki. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Tokugawa obliges. Tokugawa lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Aoki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tokugawa smiles and moves away.
Tokugawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tokugawa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Tokugawa tries to improve position but can't. Tokugawa can't do much from the bottom here. Aoki misses with the ground and pound. Aoki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Aoki working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aoki has hold of Tokugawa's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tokugawa tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Aoki cranks the arm and Tokugawa screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tokugawa, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
