Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliveira comes into the arena with One step closer blaring out of the sound system. Santos has chosen Triunfo - EMICIDA as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Oliveira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Santos shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oliveira napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Oliveira is pushing Santos's head away, looking to escape. Santos manages to hold on to the position though.

Oliveira fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Santos avoids it really well and circles away.

Oliveira is fighting off a takedown attempt but Santos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Oliveira to the mat. Oliveira regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Oliveira lands a head kick. Santos smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Oliveira is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Santos pulls his head out easily.

Santos cracks Oliveira with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oliveira is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Oliveira is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Santos preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Santos wants to sweep here but Oliveira controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Oliveira is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Santos is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Santos controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Oliveira manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santos has Oliveira in his guard.
