Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jesse Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Davis!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taylor shoots in and bounces Davis off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Taylor thows a big elbow that misses.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Taylor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

You can see the frustration on Davis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Taylor has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Davis!

Taylor has control of Davis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Davis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Taylor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Davis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taylor.

Davis throws a push kick but Taylor slaps the foot to one side.
Jesse Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis looks to land a combination. Taylor sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Jesse Taylor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Taylor throws a strike aimed at the side of Davis's head but Davis avoids it well.

Taylor is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Davis looks calm but he's in trouble here. Taylor gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Davis is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Taylor lets go of the hold and Davis can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jesse Taylor!
