Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Ung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres has chosen gonna fly now as his entrance music. Marcus Torres will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Torres! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ung's sensitive parts. Torres misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ung takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Kevin Ung has been cut. Ung moves out of range of the body kick. Torres throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Torres fails with an attempt to clinch.
Torres throws a sloppy head kick and Ung moves out of range easily. Ung fails to land the takedown. Torres misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ung closes this distance looking for a takedown but Torres circles away. Torres throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Torres misses with a two punch combination.

Ung fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Ung. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ung scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ung performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ung's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Ung decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Torres throws a front kick aimed at Ung's knee but Ung avoids it well. Torres misses with a double jab.
Torres looks gassed! Torres throws a head kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice sprawl there from Torres as Ung shoots in. Ung closes the distance and clinches up with Torres, looking for a takedown. Ung pushes Torres against the cage but Torres circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ung feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ung stopping the sweep attempt from Torres. Torres is working an open guard so Ung takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Torres misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Torres tries to clinch up. Torres throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Marcus Torres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ung dodges the punch combination from Torres.
Ung is trying hard to land a takedown here. Torres sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ung closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ung lands in his opponent's guard. Ung passes into half guard. Ung with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Ung dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kevin Ung's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Torres misses with an uppercut. Ung saw that one coming. Ung closes this distance looking for a takedown but Torres circles away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ung. Ung wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Ung has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ung has knee on belly and moves into mount. Ung controlling his opponent. Ung trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ung sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Torres really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Torres really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ung. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ung wants to control the pace but Torres is squirming around nicely. Ung scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Torres?
Ung controlling the pace for now. Ung stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Torres, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Torres tries to clinch but Ung moves out of range. Torres throws a head kick but Ung moves out of range.

Marcus Torres is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Torres is breathing heavily. Torres wants to slow Ung down by chopping away at his legs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Torres throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ung. Ung has managed to clinch.
Ung tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Torres smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Ung dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Kevin Ung's cut. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Ung shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Torres as he avoids it easily. Ung gets the takedown into side control. Torres manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Torres is looking to escape. Ung trying to control the pace. Torres looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ung is trying to work for a kimura but Torres is defending well.
Ung keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Marcus Torres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ung wants to work for an arm triangle but Torres is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ung decides to stand up. Kevin Ung is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ung avoids the head kick by Torres.
Torres tries to land a front kick but Ung steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Torres circles away from the clinch attempt and Torres counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ung scores with a takedown into Torres's guard. Ung sitting in guard here, content to control. Ung stops Torres from standing up. Ung sitting in guard here, content to control. Ung trying to control but Torres is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Ung. Crunch! Torres slams his shin into Ung's torso. Torres wants to clinch. Ung shoots and misses and Torres counters with a three punch combo that has Ung backing up. Ung nods at Torres to acknowledge the strikes. Torres stuffs the takedown attempt from Ung. Ung gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Ung. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ung showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Torres.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ung closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Torres did well to prevent Ung getting side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Ung showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ung, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
