Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rusty Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). PJ Quinn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rusty Brannigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, PJ Quinn! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brannigan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Quinn is not content to let Brannigan control the position. Quinn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Brannigan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brannigan throwing shots but Quinn is blocking nicely. Quinn regains full guard. Nicely done. Quinn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brannigan defends well. Brannigan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quinn on the ground. Quinn looking for a guillotine here but Brannigan defends easily.
Brannigan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quinn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Brannigan tries to stand but Quinn is controlling from the bottom. Brannigan postures up and lands a big shot to Quinn's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brannigan thows a big elbow that misses. Quinn looking for a guillotine here but Brannigan defends easily.
Quinn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Quinn has his foot on Brannigan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brannigan works his way back into a safe position though. Quinn working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brannigan. Quinn keeping moving, preventing Brannigan from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quinn is trying to keep Brannigan in close.
Brannigan looking to sit in guard and control but Quinn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Quinn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brannigan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Quinn has Brannigan in his guard. Quinn looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brannigan is looking to work some ground and pound but Quinn has wrist control. Quinn working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brannigan. Quinn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Brannigan tries to free his leg and advance position but Quinn is retaining full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Quinn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Brannigan distracts Quinn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Brannigan looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Brannigan wanted to stand there but Quinn had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brannigan trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Quinn pushes a forearm under Brannigan's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brannigan is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
