Doc Holiday has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pappy Shrew's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doc Holiday!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holiday doesn't manage to clinch there - Shrew circles away.
Nice uppercut lands for Shrew. That snapped Holiday's head back.
Shrew wants to clinch but Holiday slips to the side
and Holiday counters with a leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Holiday has managed to clinch.
Holiday trying to control the position but instead, Shrew has worked for underhooks and has pushed Holiday into the cage.
Holiday goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Shrew blocks an uppercut.
A nice left hand lands by Holiday.
Holiday looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
A short body shot lands from Shrew as the two fighters clinch.
Holiday looks gassed!
Shrew is working Holiday over against the cage.
Shrew lands with a light punch inside.
Shrew throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Shrew works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shrew creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Shrew manages to break the clinch.
Holiday takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Shrew shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Holiday manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Shrew is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Holiday can't keep his opponent in guard - Shrew advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Shrew is trying for a kimura here. Holiday looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Shrew wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pappy Shrew!
