Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Block Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Alban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes into the arena with Slayer - Raining Blood blaring out of the sound system. Dr Alban has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Block Liddell's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell jabs Alban right on the nose. Alban blinks but takes it well.

Liddell walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Alban checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

It looks like Dr Alban has been cut.
Alban shoots in for a double leg but Liddell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Liddell throws out a loose jab but Alban uses good head movement to avoid it.
Alban wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

You get the feeling that Liddell really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Liddell's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Alban chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Liddell can pounce on him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dr Alban.

Liddell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Alban lands a really nice looking cross but Liddell seems unphased.
Alban throws a series of punches but Liddell avoids them all with ease.

Alban connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Liddell momentarily.

Liddell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alban shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Liddell but Liddell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Block Liddell.
I think Alban has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
