Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Fay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Geraldo Higgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fay sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Higgins somewhat.
Fay cracks a nice hook into Higgins's ribs.
Dean Fay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fay tries to close the distance and clinch but Higgins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Higgins avoids the head kick by Fay.
Fay cracks Higgins with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Some bone on bone action there as Higgins checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Fay throws a jab but it's blocked by Higgins.
Fay lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fay looks to land a combination but Higgins avoids it well.
Higgins swats away the attempt to clinch by Fay.
Higgins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Fay throws a right hand that Higgins ducks under and follows up with a left that Higgins also avoids with ease.
Higgins ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Fay has Higgins up against the ropes in a clinch.

Fay escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A combination from Fay does no damage.
Fay bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Fay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Higgins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Higgins misses with a body shot.
Fay tries to clinch up but Higgins circles away and keeps his distance.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fay, as that shot connected.
Dean Fay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Higgins keeps the fight on the outside.
Higgins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fay thows a left - swing and a miss!
Higgins misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Fay counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Higgins thinking.

A jab from Fay misses.
Fay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fay scores with a crisp jab that stopped Higgins in his tracks.

Fay pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Fay scores with a jab. Higgins acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Fay pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Higgins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fay napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Higgins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fay keeps working.
Fay is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Higgins asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Higgins is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fay knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Higgins cracks Fay with a big elbow.
Higgins misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Higgins decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Fay has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Fay manages to break the clinch.
Higgins has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Fay.
Higgins is breathing heavily.
Fay throws out a powerful jab.
Higgins drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fay digs a good hook to Higgins's body.
Fay lands a nice shot that snaps Higgins's head back.

Fay lands a big uppercut and Higgins crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Higgins looks OK. Fay waves Higgins back to his feet!

Higgins is rocked!
Fay sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Higgins's defenses. It connects perfectly with Higgins's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
