Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thom Le Bou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikio Okita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Le Bou might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to in the Night Garden Theme Tune. Mikio Okita has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikio Okita!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okita closes the distance and clinches up with Le Bou, looking for a takedown. Okita pushes Le Bou against the cage but Le Bou circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Okita throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Le Bou sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Le Bou looks to score with a jab to the body but Okita is just out of range.

Okita shoots in and drives through. Le Bou sprawls well.
Okita tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Le Bou swivels and escapes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Okita fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Le Bou sprawls well initially but Okita persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Okita is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Le Bou is just riding it out for now. Okita eventually gives up the hold.
Okita is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Le Bou is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Okita jumps into side control!

Okita is landing with some decent strikes but Le Bou is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Okita wants to finish this one by submission but Le Bou is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Okita.
Le Bou is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
BOOM! Okita connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Le Bou is looking to improve his position but Okita isn't that keen on the idea.
Okita is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Le Bou can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Okita wants to control the pace but Le Bou is squirming around nicely.

Okita might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Le Bou kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Le Bou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Okita sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Le Bou somewhat.

Okita looks to throw the jab but Le Bou is out of range.
Le Bou swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Okita counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Okita throws a lazy right hand but Le Bou sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Le Bou is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Okita.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Okita lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Le Bou has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Okita shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Le Bou napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Mikio Okita showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Okita has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
