Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kanbei Shimada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Federico Lovalente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimada comes into the arena with Party and Bullshit blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimada dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shimada misses with a head kick.
Shimada ducks under a wild hook from Lovalente.
A slapping leg kick lands for Shimada.
Shimada avoids the head kick by Lovalente.
Lovalente thuds his shin into the meat of Shimada's side.
Lovalente throws a hook to the side of Shimada's head but Shimada sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Lovalente seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shimada accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shimada drops back looking for a leg! Lovalente is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lovalente manages to kick Shimada off! Shimada jumps back into Lovalente's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shimada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lovalente is looking to sinch up a triangle. Shimada throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Lovalente's body to avoid the submission. Lovalente has instead reached around Shimada's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Lovalente arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
