Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Das Puma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenneth Charles! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Puma showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Charles looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Charles wants to sweep here but Puma controlling him for the moment. Puma forces his way into half guard. Charles misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Puma seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Puma stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Charles to get to his feet. Charles tries to close the distance and clinch but Puma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Charles moves in looking to clinch but Puma pushes him off. Charles is looking to clinch but Puma is avoiding it.
Charles wants to clinch. Puma changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Charles looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Charles sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Puma is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Charles is just riding it out for now. Puma eventually gives up the hold. Charles tries to get to full guard but Puma has control of the leg. Puma stops Charles from getting back to his feet.
Puma looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Charles wants to get back to full guard. Charles gets full guard. Puma has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Charles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Charles prevents Puma from improving his position. Puma is breathing heavily. Puma keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Puma wants to control but Charles is keeping busy.
Puma is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Charles's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Charles's back! Puma controlling the position well here. Charles rolled but Puma kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Charles manages to reverse the position and now he's in Puma's guard. Nice work there by Charles.

Charles doesn't succeed with the takedown so Puma counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Charles has his foot on Puma's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Puma works his way back into a safe position though. Charles looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Charles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Charles is pressing down on Puma's thigh, looking to free his foot. Puma is holding on for now. Puma slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Puma is looking to stand up but Charles isn't so interested in that idea. Puma is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Das Puma dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Charles shoots and misses and Puma counters with a nice double leg into guard. Puma is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Charles is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Charles has escaped and now he's on top! Charles is looking to work some ground and pound but Puma has wrist control. Charles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Puma punching from the bottom - just letting Charles know he's still in a fight. Puma keeping moving, preventing Charles from controlling successfully. Charles has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Puma is proving hard to escape from. Charles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Charles trying to control the position from guard on top but Puma is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Puma has his foot on Charles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Charles works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Charles wants to clinch up but Puma keeps it at a distance. Charles doesn't succeed with the takedown so Puma counters with a double leg into guard. Puma pushes down on Charles's leg and manages to get into half guard. Still in half guard, Puma seems content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Puma throwing shots but Charles is blocking nicely. Puma seems to be working for a kimura but Charles defends the submission attempt. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Puma gets a clinch. Puma pulls guard successfully.

Puma is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Charles gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Charles lands an elbow just above Puma 's eye. Charles misses with an elbow over the top. Puma looking for a takedown. Puma tries a knee to the head but Charles blocks it.
Puma is trying to break the clinch but Charles has him pressed against the cage. Puma tries to pull guard but Charles won't allow it.

Charles just stands there and leans against the cage. Puma tries to throw a body punch but Charles avoids it by throwing Puma back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Charles is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Charles is looking to break free of the clinch but Puma has double underhooks. Puma gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Puma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Charles swivels though and keeps the full guard. Charles is looking for a triangle but Puma pushes his legs off easily.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Puma controlling the positon. Puma's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Das Puma overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Puma looking for the choke from the back. Kenneth Charles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Puma is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Puma gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Puma gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Puma apologises and we restart here on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Das Puma showed his dominance in that final round. Well Puma has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
