Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marco Croca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ralph Diaz! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Croca pinned against the cage. Croca gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Croca throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Croca works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Diaz finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Croca tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Croca avoids the head kick by Diaz.
Diaz throws a body punch but Croca moves out of range. Croca lands a lovely overhand right. Diaz motions for Croca to come forward. Diaz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Croca closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage. Croca lands with a short head shot on the inside. The referee is keeping an eye on Croca - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Croca breaks from the clinch.
Croca scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Croca moves into the clinch successfully.
Croca manages to break the clinch.
Diaz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Croca shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Croca slips under a jab. Croca clinches with his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Croca breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Croca closes the distance and clinches. Croca stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Diaz looks gassed! Croca lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Croca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Diaz misses the shot to the body. Croca checks a low kick from Diaz. Croca throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Croca throws a combination. Diaz tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Croca pushes Diaz up against the cage in a clinch. Croca effectively controlling the action here. A hook to the body from Croca.
Croca escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Croca, as that shot connected.
A lazy left from Croca finds it's target. Croca lands a head kick. Diaz smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Croca connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Croca digs a good body shot into Diaz's ribs. Croca connects with a right hand. Diaz shakes it off.
Diaz is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Croca instigates a clinch. Croca pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Croca throws a shot to the body.
Croca closes the distance and clinches. Croca lands a good knee to the midsection. Diaz won't want to take too many of those. Croca landing knees to the head.
Croca pushes Diaz back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Croca breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Croca goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Croca lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Croca throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Croca comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Croca scores with a leg kick.
Croca connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Diaz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Croca is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Croca gets a clinch. A right handed body shot lands from Croca.
Croca breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Croca takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Croca connects with a right hand. Diaz shakes it off. Diaz walks into a left hand. Diaz is still on wobbly legs! Can Croca finish him? It's a brutal combination of punches from Croca! Diaz is backing up but he can't get away as Croca lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Diaz and ends the fight. Great knockout.
