Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ludacris-Move. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear lands with a kick to the temple. Silva shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A left and a right from Silva both land. Nice combination.
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Bear bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva avoids the body shot from Bear.
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Silva throws a right and a left that Bear avoids nicely.
Bear cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs.
Silva tries to clinch there but Bear circles away.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Bear.
Good exchange - Silva coming out on top.
Silva misses with a combination
and Bear counters with a one-two to the body.
Silva stuffs the takedown.

Bear closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.

Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva tries to clinch up

and Bear counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bear works his way into full mount!

Bear can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape.
Bear lands a nice shot to the head.
Bear sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Bear is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Silva!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bear pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Bear lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Silva throws a combination that misses
and Bear counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Bear clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.

Bear breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Bear counters with a right hand to the body.
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bear counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Bear counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Bear makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bear rushes Silva and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Silva wants to clinch
and Bear counters with a one-two to the body.
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bear. Bear obviously looking to wear him down.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and Bear counters with a left and a right that stings Silva.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Bear tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bear closes the distance and pushes Silva back into the cage.

Bear breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bear lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Bear instigates a clinch.
Bear is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bear lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bear wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bear lands an elbow just above Silva 's eye.

Bear escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva misses with a combination

and Bear counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bear gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Kyle Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Bear to counter with a crisp jab.
Silva misses with a double jab

so Bear counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Bear from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bear with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Bear dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Silva throws a combination that misses

and Bear counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Bear landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Bear has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bear tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Bear counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Bear to acknowledge the strikes.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
Bear misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bear displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab.
Bear shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bear wants to get back to striking at distance but Silva won't allow it.

Bear has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Silva is trying to keep an underhook but Bear manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Bear is breathing heavily.
Bear prevents Silva from improving his position.
Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Bear sits in half guard.
Bob Bear has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bear is stalling here. Silva is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bear seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Silva has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Silva throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bear works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Silva tries to work over Bear's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bear breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bear has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bear there as he acknowledges the shot.
Silva tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bear is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silva rather than just go for the knockout.

Bear bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bear stands up.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bear throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
Bear looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Bear persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Kyle Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Bear.
Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bear counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bear.

Bear wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Bear persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.
Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bear stops Silva from standing up.

Bear gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bear pinned against the cage. Bear gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silva swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bear counters with a nice body shot.
Silva scores with a one two! Bear had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kyle Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Bear counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bear.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bear puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Bob Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Bear counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bear has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Silva.

Bear drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Bear decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Bear shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Bear's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bear clinches up with Silva and pushes him back against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bear has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bear is looking to break free of the clinch but Silva has double underhooks.
Silva lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bear.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bear has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Silva digs a right hand underneath Bear's ribcage. Bear let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A short body shot lands from Silva as the two fighters clinch.
Bear wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Silva keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bear's efforts to push away.
Bear has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Silva keeps control of Bear as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Bear tries to break the clinch but Silva is controlling the position.
Bear blocks a body shot from Silva.
Silva tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bear is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage.
Bear tries to pull guard but Silva holds him up against the cage and eventually Bear drops back down to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Silva.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bear sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Silva throws a strike but Bear avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bear utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bear can do anything to dispel that myth.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Silva has gone for a leg lock! Bear slips out almost immediately though and dives into Silva's guard.
Kyle Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bear wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bob Bear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
