Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ajax van Frankrijk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Frankrijk has chosen the rockhollywood theme as his entrance music. Ajax van Frankrijk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. van Frankrijk tries to avoid it but Heart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag van Frankrijk to the ground. van Frankrijk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Heart fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Heart looks for a takedown but van Frankrijk sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
van Frankrijk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Heart.
van Frankrijk lands with an uppercut that bounces Heart off the cage and back into rage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Heart drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

van Frankrijk sneaks out the side door and pushes Heart away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
van Frankrijk tries a head kick but it misses.

van Frankrijk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Heart shoots for a takedown but van Frankrijk saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Heart fails to land the takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ajax van Frankrijk dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

No joy there for van Frankrijk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

van Frankrijk tries to score with a low kick but Heart moves his leg out of the way.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Heart shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with van Frankrijk but van Frankrijk pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck for Heart with that takedown attempt.

Ajax van Frankrijk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

With the fighters up against the cage, van Frankrijk throws an elbow but misses.
