Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Tosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tosh comes into the arena with Stepping Razor blaring out of the sound system. Peter Tosh has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Tosh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Tran! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tosh lands a high kick!
Tosh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tran misses with a takedown and Tosh counters with a nice leg kick. Tran with a lazy takedown attempt and Tosh counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Tosh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Tran uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tosh. Tosh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tran is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Tosh's half guard. Tosh looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Tosh is looking to control Tran's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tosh avoid being mounted? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tran wants to pass the guard but Tosh is defending well. Tosh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tran pulls his head out easily. Tosh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Tosh is looking for a sweep. Tran is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tran thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Tran seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Tran got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tosh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tran has managed to get both his arms back between Tosh's legs - danger averted. Tosh avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tosh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tran doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tran manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tran wants to control from the top but Tosh keeps moving. Tosh is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tosh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tran really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tosh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tosh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tran makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tran distracts Tosh with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That was a close round but I would say that Peter Tosh will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tran looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tran not landing any meaningful shots this time. Tosh trying to hold on to Tran's head to control him but Tran postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tosh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tran shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tosh counters with an outside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tosh with a lazy takedown attempt and Tran counters with a shoot takedown. Tosh fights it but they end up in guard. Tosh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tran doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tran manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tran stands up over Tosh, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Tran loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Tran avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Tran postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tran working some strikes from top position. Tran trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Tosh trying to keep a closed guard but Tran is proving a slippery customer.

Peter Tran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Tosh fails with the takedown and Tran counters with a shoot takedown. Tosh fights it but they end up in guard. Tosh is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tran is aware though and is defending well. Tran lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tosh keeping moving, preventing Tran from controlling successfully.
