Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stupid Meatchunk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marc Villarosa! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villarosa wants to clinch. Meatchunk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Villarosa sprawls well initially but Meatchunk persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Villarosa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Villarosa is trying to stand.
Villarosa moves into full guard.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Villarosa has eaten all the pies! Meatchunk sitting in guard here, content to control. Meatchunk wants to control from the top but Villarosa keeps moving. Meatchunk is looking to stand up but Villarosa won't let him. Meatchunk gets to his feet - Villarosa follows without any prompting.
That's one minute gone in the round. Villarosa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. I wouldn't like to be where Meatchunk is right now. Villarosa is looking to take a break and control but Meatchunk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Villarosa throwing shots but missing, from side control. Meatchunk stops Villarosa from passing to mount. Villarosa trying to control the position but Meatchunk is working away. Meatchunk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Villarosa on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Meatchunk is right now. Villarosa wants to control but Meatchunk is keeping him busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Villarosa fails with the takedown and Meatchunk counters by clinching up. Villarosa is looking to break free of the clinch but Meatchunk has double underhooks. Villarosa fails to pull guard.
Meatchunk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Villarosa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Meatchunk just stands there and leans against the cage. Stupid Meatchunk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Villarosa.

It looks like Marc Villarosa has been cut. Meatchunk prevents the takedown attempt.
Villarosa looks gassed! Meatchunk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Meatchunk stands up from Villarosa's guard - Meatchunk perhaps looking for a knockout. Villarosa tries for a takedown but Meatchunk circles away easily and Meatchunk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Villarosa misses with a takedown and Meatchunk counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Meatchunk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Meatchunk trying to control the pace. Meatchunk landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meatchunk controlling the action here. Villarosa tries to roll over but Meatchunk keeps him under control. Meatchunk seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Villarosa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Meatchunk stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meatchunk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Meatchunk trying to pass the guard but Villarosa defending well. Meatchunk is thwarting Villarosa's attempts to control the position. Villarosa is breathing heavily. Meatchunk is trying to control. Villarosa wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Meatchunk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Villarosa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. Villarosa manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Villarosa thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Meatchunk shoots in for a takedown but Villarosa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Meatchunk fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Villarosa sprawls well initially but Meatchunk persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Villarosa wants to improve his position but Meatchunk is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Meatchunk has a takedown stuffed. Villarosa misses with a takedown and Meatchunk counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meatchunk trying to mount his opponent but Villarosa defends it. Meatchunk tries to stand but can't do so whilst Villarosa controls his leg. Villarosa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Meatchunk. Meatchunk is trying to work for a kimura but Villarosa is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are battling for position here. Villarosa manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Meatchunk wants to control from the top but Villarosa keeps moving. Villarosa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Meatchunk manages to get himself to full guard.
Meatchunk wants to sweep here but Villarosa controlling him for the moment. Villarosa stands up from Meatchunk's guard - Villarosa perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Meatchunk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Meatchunk looking to sit in guard and control but Villarosa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Meatchunk has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Villarosa has passed into side control.
Villarosa gets to mount! Meatchunk was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Villarosa wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Meatchunk is trying desperately to improve position. Meatchunk is squirming around, avoiding Villarosa's attempts to control the action. A nice elbow there by Villarosa. Meatchunk reaches up to try and control the position but Villarosa seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Meatchunk rolls and tries to escape and now Villarosa has his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villarosa trying to control. Villarosa is not going to allow Meatchunk to sit and survive in this position. Meatchunk is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Villarosa lands punches and elbows. Meatchunk staying busy and making it hard for Villarosa to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Villarosa lands a shot to the body. Villarosa biding his time, controlling Meatchunk. Villarosa scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Meatchunk is looking for a way out. Villarosa not allowing Meatchunk to control his hands. Marc Villarosa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stupid Meatchunk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Villarosa is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stupid Meatchunk. Well Meatchunk has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
