PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aidan Kincaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Antonio Aguilar has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Antonio Aguilar seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antonio Aguilar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aidan Kincaid!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kincaid bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kincaid working away.
An elbow from Kincaid crashes against the mat.
Aguilar struggling a bit here.
A lull in the action here as Kincaid stalls from top position.
Kincaid lands a decent elbow from side control.
Kincaid just content to control the position.
Aguilar holding on.
Kincaid scores with a couple of short elbows.

Aguilar is trying to control Kincaid's posture but Kincaid avoids it.
Kincaid has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Aguilar tries to buck Kincaid off but Kincaid is having none of it.
Kincaid creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Aguilar sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Aguilar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kincaid wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kincaid has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kincaid tries to clinch but Aguilar moves out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Aguilar fails with a takedown attempt.
Kincaid fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Aguilar on the side of the head.
Kincaid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aguilar swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kincaid drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kincaid working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Aguilar wants to sweep but no luck.
Kincaid is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Aguilar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kincaid postures up in Aguilar's guard and throws a big left but Aguilar blocks it.
Aguilar keeping moving, preventing Kincaid from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Aguilar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kincaid was well out of range. Poor timing from Aguilar.
Aguilar tries to close the distance and clinch but Kincaid swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kincaid gets a clinch.
Aguilar trying to stall but Kincaid improves his position.

Kincaid breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kincaid misses with a takedown

and Aguilar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kincaid won't be happy with that.
The ground and pound from Aguilar seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Kincaid manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Kincaid not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kincaid seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Aguilar is staying active underneath Kincaid, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Aguilar tries to roll over but Kincaid keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kincaid thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Aguilar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kincaid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kincaid fails with the takedown

and Aguilar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kincaid's guard.
Aguilar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Aguilar wants to control from the top but Kincaid keeps moving.
Kincaid is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kincaid lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Aguilar!

Oh Aguilar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kincaid postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Aguilar badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kincaid around the waist but Kincaid pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kincaid is the winner by TKO! Kincaid jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
