Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flash Elorde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Patrick Irvin ! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irvin misses with a wild combination.

Irvin throws a right and a left that both miss. Elorde is looking to take this fight into the clinch. No joy there for Irvin , who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Elorde looks to land a body kick but Irvin moved away. Elorde shoots for a double leg takedown but Irvin sprawls well. He's pushed Elorde's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Irvin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Elorde changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Irvin tries to avoid it but Elorde manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Irvin to the ground. Irvin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Irvin wants to stand up but Elorde is controlling him. Elorde really is a fat lump. Elorde sitting in guard, not really doing much. Elorde stops Irvin from standing up. Elorde controls from within his opponent's guard. Irvin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Irvin misses with a few strikes there.
Elorde changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Irvin tries to avoid it but Elorde manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Irvin to the ground. Irvin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Flash Elorde. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elorde misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Elorde shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Irvin 's guard. Elorde has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Elorde thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Irvin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Irvin keeping moving, preventing Elorde from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Irvin can't keep his opponent in guard - Elorde advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Irvin pushes Elorde off looking to stand but Elorde dives back in and keeps control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Elorde uses his free foot to push down on Irvin 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Irvin . Irvin is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Elorde tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Elorde misses with a head shot. Irvin is trying to stand up. Elorde thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Elorde lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Elorde working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Irvin looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Elorde! Submission of the night perhaps?
