Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Dougan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kosmo Van Kaarten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Kaarten has chosen Primus as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dougan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Van Kaarten misses with a series of wild punches.
Dougan doesn't manage to clinch there - Van Kaarten circles away.
Dougan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Van Kaarten looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Van Kaarten on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Dougan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dougan feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dougan throws a big right hand that misses.
Dougan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dougan wants to control from the top but Van Kaarten keeps moving.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Van Kaarten preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Van Kaarten has control of Dougan's left arm, preventing Dougan from doing any damage.

Dougan is looking to work some ground and pound but Van Kaarten has wrist control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Van Kaarten looks to throw the jab but Dougan is out of range.
Some wild striking there from Dougan.
Dougan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Van Kaarten moves out of range of the body kick from Dougan.
Van Kaarten lands with a thumping leg kick.
Van Kaarten scores with the left hand. Dougan knows he should have avoided that one.
A lazy left from Dougan finds it's target.
Dougan falls off balance throwing a combination
and Van Kaarten counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dougan thuds a left hand into Van Kaarten's body.
Dougan throws a body punch but Van Kaarten moves out of range.
Van Kaarten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Van Kaarten misses the target.
Van Kaarten misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Van Kaarten tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dougan is able to avoid easily.
Dougan throws a leg kick
and Van Kaarten counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dougan is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Van Kaarten looks gassed!
Van Kaarten tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dougan was well out of range. Poor timing from Van Kaarten.
Van Kaarten throws a sloppy body shot
and Dougan counters with a low kick, right behind Van Kaarten 's knee.
Dougan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from Dougan.
Dougan misses with a looping right.
Van Kaarten throws a series of punches but Dougan moves out of range.
Dougan feints and then cracks Van Kaarten's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Van Kaarten down.
A punch combination from Dougan misses.
Dougan lands with a good body shot.
Dougan misses with an uppercut. Van Kaarten saw that one coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Van Kaarten. Dougan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dougan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Van Kaarten.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Van Kaarten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dougan manages to avoid it.
Van Kaarten throws out a leg kick but Dougan moves out of range and Van Kaarten only half commits.
Dougan circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Van Kaarten to the canvas! Van Kaarten doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Dougan keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Dougan!
