The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steiner has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steiner there as he acknowledges the shot. Boom Boom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boom scores with the left hand. Steiner knows he should have avoided that one. Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steiner swats him away and circles back towards the center. Steiner throws a leg kick that misses. Steiner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Boom wants to clinch. Boom stuffs the takedown attempt from Steiner. Steiner gets slowly back to his feet. Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steiner swats him away and circles back towards the center. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Steiner. A big left from Steiner misses. Boom doesn't manage to clinch there - Steiner circles away.

That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Steiner tries to keep at a distance but Boom has taken the fight into the clinch. Steiner tries for a takedown. No joy.

Boom fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steiner manages to avoid it. Boom bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Steiner's head. Boom tries to clinch up. Steiner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Some bone on bone action there as Boom checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. The fight stays on the outside here - Boom looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Steiner throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Boom throws a body punch but Steiner moves out of range. Boom tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Boom is looking to clinch. Boom closes the distance but Steiner moves to the side and Steiner counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boom's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Boom avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steiner thows a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steiner throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Steiner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Boom's head. Boom utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boom Boom dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Boom clinches but Steiner breaks the clinch and Steiner counters with a leg kick. Boom tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Steiner counters with a low kick, right behind Boom 's knee. Boom darts in trying to clinch and Steiner counters with a single leg into guard. Boom didn't expect that. Boom avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Boom is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Steiner throws a strike but Boom rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Steiner is trying to keep Boom in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steiner pulls Boom in close to prevent any damage. Boom wanted to stand there but Steiner had control of the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Boom is looking to work some ground and pound but Steiner has wrist control. Boom looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Steiner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steiner wants to stand up but Boom is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boom trying to control the position from guard on top but Steiner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boom gets to his feet - Steiner follows without any prompting. Boom closes the distance but Steiner moves to the side and Steiner counters with a series of strikes. Boom will be more careful next time no doubt. Boom tries to clinch but Steiner is having none of it. Boom closes the distance but Steiner moves to the side and Steiner counters with a nice kick to the body. Boom Boom seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boom moves away from the strike by Steiner. Boom misses the jab. Steiner misses with a leg kick. A combination from Boom does no damage. Boom wants to clinch but Steiner slips to the side and Steiner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Boom wants to clinch but Steiner slips to the side and Steiner counters with a nice body kick.

Boom looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Boom is breathing heavily. Boom wants to clinch but Steiner slips to the side and Steiner counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boom! Boom throwing hammer fists to the chest of Steiner. What's that going to do exactly? Steiner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Boom looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Steiner wants to control the pace but Boom is squirming around nicely. Boom sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Boom tries to kick Steiner off but Steiner keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Steiner is keen to just control but Boom is a slippery customer. Steiner missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Boom is staying active underneath Steiner, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Boom is trying to stand back up but Steiner is controlling him

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Steiner connects with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Macho Steiner dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Jab by Steiner. Boom throws a right hand that Steiner ducks under and follows up with a left that Steiner also avoids with ease. Steiner closes the distance and pushes Boom back into the cage. Boom pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Steiner circles away from the clinch attempt and Steiner counters with a big head kick but Boom shrugs it off. Boom darts in trying to clinch and Steiner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Boom darts in trying to clinch so Steiner counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Steiner thows a big elbow that misses. Boom is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Steiner is aware though and is defending well. Boom takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boom utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Steiner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Steiner working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Boom's head. Steiner content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Steiner distracts Boom with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Steiner throwing strikes from guard but Boom blocks nicely. Boom is controlling Steiner's posture. Boom trying to control the position.
Boom is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Boom thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boom decides to return to a standing position. Steiner looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Boom looking for submissions off his back. Steiner with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Boom tries to kick Steiner off but Steiner keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Steiner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Steiner wants to control but Boom is keeping him busy. Boom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steiner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steiner takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Boom is refusing to be controlled, as Steiner sits in half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Steiner pushes Boom away with a front kick. Boom darts in trying to clinch and Steiner counters with a low kick, right behind Boom 's knee. Boom darts in trying to clinch and Steiner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Steiner looks to land a combination but Boom avoids it well. Boom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Steiner does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boom tries to clinch up and Steiner counters with a good low kick that Boom was not able to check. Steiner looks for a takedown but Boom sprawls well. Steiner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Boom keeps control of Steiner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Boom putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Steiner in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boom's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Boom tries to clinch up but Steiner circles away and keeps his distance. Steiner throws a hook but Boom blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Macho Steiner showed his dominance in that final round. I think Steiner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
