Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinando Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fire Fly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ferdinando Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fire Fly! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Fly should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Fly tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it. Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fly, who protects the arm well. Fly is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Fly makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Silva connects with a single shot there. Fly displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva. Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fly sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat. Fly fails with the takedown and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fly's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva trying to control but Fly is working from the bottom. Fly lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva! Fly has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fly working for a submission but Silva is keeping him at bay. Fly moves to back control. Silva covers up after that shot from Fly.
Silva trying to control the action but Fly just sinks the hooks in. Fly tightening his grip on Silva, looking for the choke. You can see the frustration on Silva's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Silva is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fly scores with strikes from the back.
Fly is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fly on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva tries to escape the position.
Fly is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Silva is defending well though. Fly let's go of the attempt for now. Fly tightening his grip on Silva, looking for the choke. Fly loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Silva hold on?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fly is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Silva knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Silva for a finish. Fly scores with punches to the body. Fly struggling to keep hold of the position.
Fly looking for the choke from the back. Fly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Silva is trying to stand back up. Silva is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fly gets his way!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Will Fly go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fly has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Silva. Fly has his arm under Silva's chin here. Game over son! Fly squeezes tightly and Silva is forced to tap out!
